Chris and Shirin's Wedding Day

So my brother finally found the one!  Oh boy did I have my work cut out for me.  Lots and lots of cupcakes.  They had three types of cupcakes; red Velvet with cream cheese, vanilla with chocolate butter creme, and chocolate with butter creme.  The cake pops were made from each cake variation then dipped in chocolate.  The wedding cake was an over sized cupcake!  My brother loves his boat, so Shirin (aka my new sis-n-law) had me make a replica of the boat on his grooms cake.

This is a close up of the table.  The cake pops are made from the cake crumbs and mixed with butter creme frosting.  After they rolled into balls, you dip them in chocolate.  Her colors for the wedding were red, black and white.
The  cake pops were a huge hit!
The Spread!

Detail of the cupcakes.  The cupcakes were placed in a wilton party cup.  These cups are the perfect size to drop a cupcake into.  After being placed in the cup a ribbon was tied around each cup.  The trick to getting the ribbon to stay is turning the cup upside down (before placing the cupcake in), tying the knot, then adding a drop of Elmer's non-toxic glue under the knot.

The over sized wedding cupcake!  The cake is baked in an over sized cupcake pan.  After it was done baking I flipped it upside down and draped fondant over the top, to get the ridged paper look.  We used two 3-tiered floating stands so we would not have to keep refilling the cupcakes.
The grooms cake made from my brother's favorite, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The wedding party arriving by boat!

Everyone had a blast!
